Subject: Temp Gauge IP: Logged
Message: When the temp outside is more than 50.... My temp gauge reads normal at 190-195. When it is colder than 50 like in the 40's it gets like 175-180. But, as soon as i turn on the HEAT it drops all the way down to like 150-160 it almost drops down to 140.

Message: '98 doesn't have the aux electric fan. heat problem could be the damper in the ducting to control hot & cold air. i also tend to agree with Larry, the sending unit could be bad and giving false readings.

Message: that sucks
im sorry that wasn't very helpful
I have a 180 t-stat and i swear my temperature guages reads about 160 or lower. Doesn't throw a code, however.
helplea...do you have any leaking? It sounds like there is not good coolant flow.
