Message: Gas or sulfur? Which is it...
If you're smelling a sulfur/rotten egg smell...it's related to your cat converter. It may need replaced. If you're smelling gas...it could be because of an O2 sensor either going bad (causing it to run rich) or if your cat is bad, it could be throwing the o2 readings off, making it run rich.

Message: Hmmm-I was thinking maybe the charcoal canister-I took a quick look and couldn't find the darned thing. I don't have any warning lights. Oh well...
