Lots of people, like me, have relocated their IAT to a cooler location. Now that its getting cooler outside, is it wise to put the IAT back to the OEM location??

Don't know about moving it back due to weather.
I just wanted to say I moved the IAT in my 1994, and noticed no difference. So I put it back in the stock location.

The IAT in its stock location will become
heat soaked and read from 180 to 200 degrees

The best place to relocate it is 6" from the
throttle body in the bottom of cleaner gen2
air tube gen 3 here it will read from 90 to 120

any readings below 50 will trip a code sensor
voltage to high and light the mill

This mod is most times not noticeable especialy
on a stock motor with all the bolt ons just
a little it will give you 1 degree timing and
.1 .2 miliseconds on the injector width

It must pick up a little engine heat I run mine
there in 30 below weather

I have 2 switchible from in the cab but I used
to have it out in front of the rad sattle below
50 I switched to the stock location from in
the cab now I run it all winter

hey steve for whats its worth
i noticed a nice diff. with the IAT mod
however winters it was running too rich
and sucking gas
i put it back (stock location) in the cold months
(not saying its going to be the same for anyone elses truck) just dropping a note as to what mine does

its a 94
and the block off plate is removed from the cold air intake tube
(possibly the full blast of cold air is too mich in the winters)
