What is the purpose of the Idle Speed controller?
And where can I find some good quality 8mm wires for a 89 dodge dakota V6...I have tried summit but twice i have sent them back for wrong size and a custom fit being too short....help is appreciated.

you need the iac to keep the engine idle or it would die when you turn on a/c or slow down. Buy your wires for a 5.2 v-8 they will match, just have two wires left over.

thanks for the reply...I see the Idle speed controller is not my problem...the symptoms I am getting is sometimes a misfire or kill while accelerating or taking off.It will start back up quickly or sometimes its a few cranks....
