Subject: Headers IP: Logged
Message: This may sound pretty stupid and it might be but could a person lob off one of the pipes on a set of V8 headers an bolt these up to a V6? The V8 headers and so cheap and the V6 headers cost a fortune.

Message: not sure really... i never heard anyone ask that question till now... but if your dealing with the 3.9 and comparing it to the 5.2 its the same setup but short 2 holes.... but i would have to guess the loaction to where the headers would meet the y-pipe could be different and you could waste money trying... and a second thing the steering shaft on the DS could be to different location spot on the header compared to a v6 and v8...

Message: thats funny. but yes it can be done if you are talking about a 3.9 using 5.2 headers. i think you have to "lob" off the front ones.

Message: and another thing, what year is your rig? if its a 92-93, you will gain NO performance from headers. in those years, the stock manifolds were the biggest ever on those engines.
