 Subject: Mold in heater

Has anyone had a problem with mold smell coming out of the vents when the heater or air conditioner are turned on. I have a 1993 Dakota with 169000 miles on it. Recently i turned the heater on ona cooler day and was greeted with the most awful moldy smell you can imagine. How do I get rid of the mold without taking the heater core out? Any help will be a[ppreciated.

The intake is in the cowl spray a 50/50
water lisal pinesol with fan on high
untill you smell it inside than stop
it will kill the mold
