I have an 89 dakota with a 3.9 5speed. It seems to be built stout, with a A535 tranny, NP 231 transfer case (I have seen on v8 dakotas)and the driveshaft is the size of the one on my friends 360 5speed. I was just wondering how the tranny (A535) would hold up to a 318 or 360? Thanks for the help.

If its in good shape no prob
The V8's use the same case and the HD
We just put a A518 and a T234HD case into a
1988 dakota V6
