Message: I have a K&N Air Hat on my '95 which sits on the TB. It's the only model they list for my year. Is it better to have this sucking hot air into the TB or would a 97 air hat with a cold air intake work better? One gets max volume but warm air the other less volume but cooler air. Also what air hat would fit. I read in the arcives that stock '97 air hat would fit, is that true? I've also read about some home made cold air intakes using PVC. Ideally a functioning scoop would be best like Larry has but a more costly solution and scooped hoods aren't easy to find for GenII.

Message: There are both ram and cowal induction hoods
avalble but at a cost of $500
The Lund Eclisp scoop I used was $60 paint was
free
When I thought cold air the best place to get
it would be a direct path to the throttle body
It works great I have some sponges I pop in
when it rains or snows to hard never had any
probles at all running it
Yes any air hat from any newer mag motor will
fit right on your throttle body
I have seen many home made cold air systems
that for around $50 to $75 work just as well
as one you would pay $300 or more for
