Subject: Just bought a '92 V6 IP: Logged
Message: Guy says there is a hesitation between 1000-1200 rpms. Tranny shifts hard as well. the truck is a 2x4. The anitlock and brake lights are also on.
Will a new speed sensor fix the anti/brake light?
What about the EGR valve, will that stop hesitation? Can I clean out the EGR valve and Idle valve? What symtoms does the temp sensor cause?
Thanks,
Anthony

Message: replace the EGR Nehoff brand around $85
The hesitation a good tune up will most likly
cure this
Napa MO 26 & 28 cap and rotor solid brass incerts
NGK FR5 V power plugs
good wires
The IAC is probably not causing the flat spot
The sensor is on the differential and most call
it a distance sensor
The one on the trans is the speed sensor and the
antilock computer is a seporate animal behind
the pass side kick panel
After you replace the sensor disconect the batt
turn key to start and hold for a few min this
will also rest the antilock comp or the light
may not go off for a long time
A break light fuse will also ligt the ABS light
The trans do a filter and fluid change
good fluid no supertech or dextron
ATF +4
Amsoil
Redline
1 bottle of lube guard red this will free sticky
valves this will probably solve the trans probs
