rpms seem funny and so
does the idle. What cable
will i need to go with the new
tb?

what year and what model

Did you take the valve off the back of your original TB and put it on the V8 one?

Mine didnt act right untill I used the v6 valve on the v8 TB, I think its called an air bypass valve, not sure though.

Sic: A '95 model TB won't work properly as the linkage is different and it has EGR holes in the bores (front of bores right above the plates). IAC is also slightly different.
