Message: 96+ TB's (V8) will fit the 96+ V6's. The TB's are all the same from '96+ on the 5.2/5.9L.

Message: I've asked many times (Mopar, Dealers, Techs, other sources)...no idea.
It would be less expensive for them to standardize on one TB and cable. Why they haven't done it...I have NO idea. (And the "Liability" factor doesn't come into play as the TB swap actually make them run better and...sometimes...gives them better fuel economy as well.)

Message: I understand that each auto maker has a certain amount of points and this has to do with their "cafe" rating with the EPA, if they get a few lines of cars or trucks under there expected emissions allowable rating for that class than the manufacturer can waste those points with another vehicle (Viper may have used our V6 Dak points!! lol).
I have read this a couple of times and have even had a buyer for a local Dodge dealer tell me this.
So its a possibility that the Dak gets better exaust emmision numbers with a small TB, Dodge probably knew that the V6 in most Daks feel powerfull enough for the average buyer and went with the points instead, I mean we are talking about a V6 truck not a high performance " lightening" type thing here.
This is of course my opinion.
Hope this helps, Scott

TIA,

will get some good performance
Also ad the headers on that 85 and it will run sweet
