1999 Dodge Dakota 3.9L V6 2WD 5 Speed. It started out the the gauge would not show how fast I was going unless I was over 20 MPH then the needle would move up to my current speed. Now I have to be going 30-35 MPH before the needle will respond and show How fast I'm going.
Any help would be very much appericated because I have no ideal where to start looking

Unless the wiring has been disturbed, the problem is most likely with the speed sensor - its in the top of the rear differential, and should be fairly easy to change out. This could cause your brake and ABS lights to come on too.

Lead, follow, or get out of the way
