Subject: Transmission Shift Kits IP: Logged
Message: I have been browsing through old posts and noticed a lot of attention towards transgo and B&M transmission shift kits. This led me to do reasearch, but all I keep getting were old websites with little information.
I have a 99 3.9L Auto and just got my tranny rebuilt less than a year ago (75,000 miles) It is obviously the 42RE, but is that the same as the A904?
If so which of these kits have people had the best experience with
Transgo's Peformance Shift Kit

B&M's Shift Improver Kit

B&M's Transpak Kit

Also how exactly do you "downshift" in the last kit with an auto tranny...pull the shifter from Drive to 2? And once you downshift how to you upshift again?
Thanks in advance

Message: I installed a B&M Transpak Shift kit in my 95 v6 Dak. In the box their are instructions for various performance levels. For downshifting and upshifting you just its no different than normal(w/o)kit. The shift kits gives quicker and snappier shifts.
