The farther you are from the stock tables the
longer it will take to tune in Wadak is correct
in saying 500 to 1000 miles

Another thing the motor will not even begain to
losen up untill 5 to 8000 miles that is why I
never dyno a new motor with less than 5000 miles

Be sure you have a good o2 go right to NGK.com
and get a NGK NTK this is what the factory uses
if you have anything else in there get rid of it
especialy if its a bosch $44 direct from ngk

You should also be running 1 colder plug use the
NGK FR5 stock IGN .035 and watch the color it
should turn a ligt tan 500 to 1000 miles if not
your lean and will never get the perf you should

relocate the IAT sensor about 6" from the trottle
body this will lower it from 180 200 to around
90 to 120 degrees

after 500 miles run her upto 3000rpm after 1000
take her 4000 just up there and down dont hold it

be sure your injector sync is on the + side
TDC comp stroke looking from front of truck and
down over rotor it should be behind the cyl line
on the pickup plate with the very back edge of the
rotor alined with the cyl line

Are you running the stock comp or the perf comp
watch those plugs for color and dont get on it
if its running lean

around 200 miles it will begain to run better
than for the next 800 it will run a little better
every time you drive it your fighting 2 birds
here a tight motor and the learn give it time

If you have the stock comp go ahead and do the
crank sensor mod flowing more with the port
work and the cam it will run cooler and can use
the timing

check the sync as soon as you can and do the IAT

what are you running for the air cleaner

do a oil and filter around 1000 than 3000 than
change to a full synthetic 10w 30

don't get discuraged like I said these motors
don't even begain to losen up untill they have
5 to 8000 miles on them between 8 and 10 they
will start showing good gas mileage

run a reg stant 195 it will run 185 188 degrees
don't go with a 180 they run around 170 to cold

after you get some miles on it start a new post
New Motor so I can get you running like you
should be I think your going to be very happy
as the miles go on

The motor I did for the guy from AZ is almost
identical to yours and man that thing flys

what are you running for a throttle body unless
you opened the bores to 50mm stay away from the
V8 body

Also what are you running for exhaust
headers
carsound high flow
Flow master 50 2.5 in out
dynomax 11748 2.5
factory mandrel tail
or the pacesetter would be what you wand here

I am running the dynomax factory tail carsound
on my 4.0 stroker it flows excellent the
pacsetter is on my 4x4

1 thing I forgot to say at 60 miles with the
cam and the other work there is no where near
enough fuel there yet

your starting from the stock tables

I reread the post and I see you have the stock
throttle body they only flow like 435 450 cfm
no where near enough for the motor

The F&B is around $380 and flows 660 cfm that
would be like swaping to a 4bl

Look at it this way with the small body will be
a easy break in

you will need to change this to get what your
looking for in performance

As you can afford it get the throttle body and
exhaust so that baby can flow right now your very
restricted on both sides the exhaust and intake
your probly down 40 50 hp at the wheels

The stock comp should run it I ran them on my
strokers with a stage 2 chip they ran but not
to there full potential

If you need any help my email is
daksport at netzero.net just put the @ in there
I never put my email in that way they have robots
that search sites like this and harvest email
addresses than you get all kinds of crap in your
email

If I seam excited and intusiastic I am weather
I build a motor for myself or a customer or
see someone else doing it I love it has been
my life since I was 16 I built my first motor
I am as they say car crazy

I built 2 440 hemi head conversions that was very
exciting seeing these things dynoed over 650 hp
now thats fun

Yes I am nuts crazy what ever but I love every
minit of it LOL

When it comes to my cars my trucks my motors my
old lady says I should be locked up LOL

either your server is slow or you got the address
wrong

daksport at netzero.net take the at out use @
port@netzero.net just put daks in front

now watch that will be someones real email and
they will get all the junk LOL

I just don't like to see a person work so hard
on something like this and end up being
disapointed, I see it happen all the time not
just on this board but right here by me guys
spending lots of good money and just missing
the things that really matter and make there
motors run right

As I have said I will help anyone who asks I have
always been that way I don't care if a person is
green purple or pink if they ask they get help

I just got a call the other day from a man who
owns a custom and restoration shop he is no real
compatition to me thinks he is but it just don't
work that way

All these highly skilled people and none even
knew how to set the float level on a holly carb
I took the time at 7.30pm from my home to explain
how it was done

They take these vehicles everywhere trying to
get them to run right than when they finaly
get to me I do give them the rasberrys before I
straiten out the mess others have made you
would not beleave what some people do cobled
wires wrong sensors its just amazing

The reason I am up at 3.30am was to go pull a
guy out of a mudd hole I live and am the only
house around right on the edge of the national
forest people always back here 4 wheeling

I just get up and go pull them out if they are
drinking I will not let them drive back into
town I give them a ride home

Its real bad during deer season and threw the
winter always someone in the ditch back here
LOL I get a kick out of it LOL if you could just
see were some people think they can drive a 4x4

I have 400 feet of cable if there real bad I
use the nearest tree and a 6 ton whinch

They always offer me beer but I don't drink tell
them you owe me a good pizza and beleave it or
not most will bring one over, I love pizza its
my down fall people also use pizza to bribe me
into doing things and most times it works

try the email again think you got it wrong

never mind just checked and its there you will
have mail shortly just a slow server

going to send in a few emails or they will be
to long LOL
