 Subject: headlight problem

Well I have a problem with my headlights, I turn them on and drive about 30 min into my trip to work my headlights start going off anf on. Its just my headlights nothing else, my parking stay on and so do the inside lights. Then I get this funny smell, sort of like cigar smokethey will flicker, and then they will go out and comeback on.. Can any one figure this out for me. Is it a headlight switch.

Could be the switch ,otherwise it is in the wiring.
Yo better find it soon before it starts a fire..

Probably the switch. Mine is the pull out type.
I burned-up one by having the low and high beams on at the same time. You can do that by holding the steering column switch just right.
Don't remember the cost, but it was expensive.
