Message: can anyone tell me what i could do to get more power to the ground? my engine get good throttl response, but it just doesnt make it to the tires. could this be because of the tranny twisting when i get on it? the rubber bushing seems a little soft i can move it with my hand. probably cause when i put headers on it the cat wouldnt bolt up right so i got rid of it, and it had a hook that went into the tranny and makes it sway a lot. my question is can i weld a piece of thin steel to keep the tranny from moving so much under acceleration?

Message: Unless your rubber mounts have rotted (and I doubt that) Your looking in the wrong place. Also to strap your trany to the fram or crossmember is going to bust something if you really are getting on it hard. Your eliminating needed give plus you well get lots of gear noise. If your engine is performing as good as it can, I see 2 choices. Mod the engine or change the gears in diff.
