Subject: Got a leak in tranny IP: Logged
Message: Hey, I got a leak in my tranny. It's a 94 dakota and 3.9L engine. I think it might be the front seal, but i'm not sure. Has anybody had this problem with a model like mine? How did you fix it, and was there more than just the front damaged? Just some added info: The less I drive it the more it leaks, but when I drive it a good bit the leak slows down alot. Thanks for any advice.

Message: Don't guess at where the fluid is leaking from. Be certain or your looking at unneeded work. front seals can go out but rare these days.
So many problems .... So little time

Message: If it is the front seal leaking, I in countered one that had a worn pump bushing. It caused the torque converter to wobble in motion, causing the new front seal to leak. Dodge has a tech bulletin on it.
