Hello, I am new to the site and I just bought a 87 Dakota with a 3.9 4WD drive motor. I am 16 and this is my first car/truck. I paid 700 for it. I need a new rear bumper and right rear tailight so if any one has one, let me know. Also, if anyone has advice,suggestions,or you just know something that you think I should know, let me know.
I have one question as of right now. There is a light bulb near my 4WD selector and it never comes on. If someone could tell me what that is that would be nice.

the bulb- it tells you that its in 4x4,if the bulbs good when you put it in 4x4,then the front housing is not locking up for 4x4,could be vaccuum hoses,vaccuum switch on transfer or acuator on front housing[pass.side]

I would check the bulb itself first just lift
the cover up you will see the wires for it I
wish they would have made them about 6" longer
some are so short they are hard to get in
