Subject: 1992 intake modification specs.

I got from junkyard last week an intake manifold for a 239 v6 magnum motor. I am going to sand and polish the out side, so it will match my modified alt. bracket. what should i do for hp. gains on the underside of my new(used)intake.
1. radius the injector holes-how big should this curve be?
2. mustang 5.0 19lbs injectors- i have seen 4 and 5 hole is this really better than stock or should i just go back to the junkyard and scrap a 5.0?
3. bore the tb hole from 1.895 to 1.945 inches to match the magumn v8 tb?
4. cut down the runners 2 inches? what the exact lenthto cut?-should i raduis them in anyway for flow?
5. remove the divider?
6. whats the best way to polish the inside and whats the desired finish?
7. what else should i do- i have lots of time and patience.

gasket match ports
remove devider
shorten runners to 14"
radious 45 degree 1/8 to 3/16 will look like
a valve seat

this will tune the intake from 2000 to 4000
rpm with a net gain of 15hp from the intake work
alone

a flexible drill extention and a wire wheel
is the only way to get into the runners it
will clean and polish them but don;t seem to
make any dif if this is done or not

92 99 19 pound injectors
00 and up use 21

yes the fms 4 hole spray will give you better
atomization a smother running motor better
mid and top end performance over the stock
1 hole wonders they work ok but are not
matched close enough for performance work

What year did they start doing MPI? Also, if my computer is from a auto truck and i have a 5 speed will it run crappy? sorry for pirating your post

did you say in the last part to use one hole injectors 5.0?

do you have a number for your shop?
