Subject: reading trouble codes IP: Logged
Message: 1999 Dodge dokata sport---V6 3.8L---
Truck died on me the other day and doesn't seem to be getting fire even though it does turn over.
Tried hold trip reset and turning key on then releasing it about 5 seconds later to put it into a system check. I got what seemed to be a "950" code but the dealership says it dosen't exist.
tried today the same and also cycling the igination on and off 3,5,and 10 times and not getting any thing now...
any ideals

Message: You need a scanner for 99 and 2000 .
The possible 'code' you did see is related to
guages 'instrument panel' only.
Possibilities on your problem include
fuel pump relay,auto-shutdown relay, connections in the "fusebox " to these.
Also check ground [ chassis ] connections-=- not
sure how they did it on 99 , on my 95 the {[ground]} for the computer is a relatively thin black wire 'grounded' to the alternator mounting bracket. Also check connector to computer and even the connection to the coil.
