Subject: NGK FR5 IP: Logged
Message: I purchased the NGK FR5 V Power plugs and gapped them to .040, installed them and started up the truck. It idled terribly, revved up and down a couple of hundred rpm's and had a slight miss to it. I pulled them out and put the factory recommended Champions back in and it ran perfectly. Don't know what is going on but I am not impressed with NGK.

Message: try .035 its rare but maybe you got a bad
plug
even with the gap there should be no miss or
rough idle wires good I hope
The fr5 is a resistor type plug just like the
org champ
I have installed 100's of the ngk never had
anything like that happen something not right
