Subject: clutch pinion bearing IP: Logged
Message: I just bought a remain long block and went to install the clutch and the spot on the back of the crank for the pinion bearing is like 2 inches wide and cant seem to get the piece out of the other crank. the dealer didnt have the part eather. is there a spacific auto and stick crank or what? Im really confused. please help. mike

auto doesn't.
I noticed apost regarding this last week I think.
I believe the "fix" was to go to dealer and get a new pinion bearing.
If you get the right [ parts counter person ]
you should have it and be on track again soon..

Message: . The stealership had a jackass on the phone. It's part number 5300-9180-AB if anyone is interested. I believe the insert comes with the pilot bearing already pressed in for about $13.
