them trucks are fast or atlast the on that tried to get me to race him was.......i didnt race him b/c i didnt take of fast enough lol but he had a killer take off......so i was wondering if those ae fast stock......or was his havily modified i could tell exhaust and alot of outside work done. so anybody know the 0-60 and 1/4 mile on them bad boys?

the only svt truck that ford has is the lightning. it could be just a ford truck with the svt badges on it.
if it was a lightning, they run about 13.7 in the 1/4 stock, and with $800 in mods, they are in the 12's yea, they are quick

i thought it was a lightng but wasn sure b/c it took off like a bat out of hell and i have made a mistake of racing a lighting before and i just turned off at the next street.
but he had the svt stickers on the back windows and i didnt really pay attention to the side of it.

they are aiming for a 35,000 price tag on the basic models, but does still incluse the standard 8.3, jsut no air, power windows, locks, or anything else to jsut weigh you down and drop your 1/4 .005 secs

SOmeday, I am gonna drop a new engine in my dakota and mod the hell out it... I want to make it fast enough to keep up or maybe beat a Lightning... I know it's gonna be expensive, but I am gonna save up for it...
I found a video of a Lightning racing a Camaro SS, and the Lightning beat it like no one's business!

Yeah, that Lightning had to be modified up the butt if it beat a Camro SS without any trouble. I have seen an article in a car mag, they had a Viper, a Camaro SS, and a Cobra Mustang, they raced them against some Lightnings, some where modified and some were stock. The Viper toasted them all, coming in second was a Lightning with a 100hp shot of nitrous and a few other goodies, and thrid was the Camaro SS.

yeah, lighnings are fast for trucks, but camaro ss's are a bit quicker i think with N/A 5.7 310-320+hp vs a 4500+lb 5.4 with a supercharger that only makes 380. the hp to weight ratio is to far off. camaros hit 60 in well under 6 seconds and lightnings...well...don't(6.2) they'll take out any dodge truck though. until that waste of gas $50,000 overkill ram comes out and all three people go out and buy it(dodge told me in an e-mail that it would be 45-55k) lightning is what 30-35...put 10-25k into a lightning and the tires would explode upon gas pedal depression...in fact you could theoretically drop the viper 8.3 in and supercharge it for less money. if dodge was smart they would just make an AWD dakota R/T with choice of 4.7 ho, 5.7 hemi or 8.3 V10 which will rape a lightning just on traction for get the extra hp, the 5.7 would be enough to beat it the 8.3 would probably toast corvettes and some italian sports cars. why isnt the viper AWD, it seems like every time i u hit the gas u spin out. what kind of retarded car does a 180 when u gun it.

hey intense your lights and bumper weight a lot...and 15 inch rims also...got to 10s...peel off ur stickers, remove ur alternater. shocks only matter when there are bumps in the road. get a thinner drive shaft...great...ok ill stop....glass is heavy too

theres a lighting in my town and it runs a 13.7 stock and it will eat up alot of 5.0 mustangs and the lighting around where i live go for $40k thats with a/c pl and pw
and dodge is supose to cme out with the razor next year? or 2005 model but its going to be around 15k for a 12 sec car......no a/c or radio and vipers run high to mid 12's.....now whats going to happen o the viper? and that will be my next car.....if they dont keep it concept......like they did with the dakota with the viper engine!
