Subject: HVAC fan switch problem IP: Logged
Message: I have an 03 dakota and recently my HVAC fan rotary switch stopped working on the lowest setting. The AC will not engage and the fan will not come on when switched to the lowest setting. All the other fan settings work as they should. Does this sound like a bad switch? Or is it something else? Someone please gimme a hand here. Thanks.

Message: Dealer part (sub $15)
Easy fix.
From JimmyD in another thread: "Look at the blower housing on the passenger side under the dash. You'll recognize the blower motor area right away. Go inboard just a bit and you'll see a connector going up into the plastic housing. That connector (5-wires, if I remember) is for the resistor board. Remove the two Phillips screws, and it'll come right out."
