Subject: Black Magic Fan IP: Logged
Message: A question for those who have installed a Black Magic 150 fan in a '98 2wd V6. What hookup has been the best to use for the 12v+ (small red wire)to an "ignition on" source. Just wondering if any particular wire or point in the fuse box was the better choice.
Thanks in advance
Pat

Message: I ran my red wire thru the firewall and wired it to the driver's side fuse box. If I recall there is a spare slot the is hot when you turn the ignition on.

Message: If you don't like the look of the top and bottom brackets for mounting the fan, You can go to Lowes and buy a piece of aluminum L bracket and use the original fan shroud holes on the sides and make some nice brackets.

Message: Thanks, Steve, I think that might work just fine.
I found that the #16 fuse spot in the fuse box is a spare and the #3 pin on the cooresponding connecter is open. I can probably get a correct pin from my avionics dept and do the job neatly.
