Subject: Electronic control solenoid A IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2002 Dakota quad cab with a 3.9L V6. I was driving along the other day, and I stopped at a light. When I stopped the little engine-looking light came on. Then I noticed a significant loss of power. So I took it to the Zone where they plugged in their diagnostic machine. It said their was a short or something resembling a short to electronic control solenoid A. What does this mean? Is it soething I have to replace? What exactly id "electronic control solenoid A"? Please share any info possible. Thanks for looking.

Message:
Sorry, no help on the code but your local dealer can run your VIN and see all completed or open recall issues. Ball joints were on the hit list for certain years.
Factory safety recalls are transferable and free.

Message: I got the ball joints taken care of. Unfortunately there are no electrical recalls related to the transmission. Thanks though.
