I have an 88 Dakota 3.9, 3 speed automatic lowered I LOVE IT. I want to replace the 3.9 with a new 3.9 and I am very interested in a supercharger. Is there any other company other than Paxton? Has anyone ever done the supercharger for the 3.9? Any bit of input will help (other than swaping to a v8)! Thanks

You are not limited by genI, II or III for the motor. You can drop a 3.9 magnum engine from a GenIII dak into your older dak, you just have to change ALL of the wire harnesses over. I have seen plenty of people drop super/turbo chargers into Gen II's and III'3.

If it doesn't fit, force it. If it breaks...well...it needed to be replaced anyway.

Sounds like a good idea however I am not experienced in wiring and I'm new to all this stuff. I was just going to replace my 3.9 with a rebuilt 3.9 but I heard that there is a supercharger for it. Not looking for hundreds and hundreds of horse power just looking for a little more jam for fun. I did the Edelbrock headers but want a little bit more. But thanks for your input! I appreciate all suggestions! Kepp them coming!
