Subject: Ignition Coil IP: Logged
Message: I replaced my stock coil for an ACCEL coil with harness adapter for my 98 about a month ago. Was wondering will this coil affect my SMOG test, or should I go back to a stock coil till I pass smog?

No affect on the smog test.

Message: Sal,
Presuming you didn't change coils just to have a name on the case; what you've done is give yourself a better, hotter spark which ignites the fuel/air mixture better making better, cleaner, combustion for more power.
Upgraded wires give full benefit of the coils performance.
You'll notice it idles better too.
