What Chevy are you comparing it to, a Colorado, a Canyon, 5 cylinder, 6 cylinder?? Of course a V8 is a different story. Go back to chevyland you moron, the Colorado was picked the worst truck for fit and finish, power and drivability, the dodge was lightyears ahead in the ratings.

Ok, I gotta say somthing about this. I'm not 100% against chevy, because I have to say that I had a chevy... UNTIL I GOT MY BADASS DAKOTA!!! I've had my 94 dak for 2 years and I'm proud to say that it has 218,000 mi. on it and still running like new. I'll never have anything else. I think it's sad that you have nobody to talk to about chevys so you have to come and make yourself fell better by talking bad about dodge. Go away, your not needed here, thank you.

Why is it that every other manufacturer of truck engines has to up their displacement size to compare to a magnum engine?The newer V6 designed by Dr.Z has ,on paper, more horsepower and torque while being .2 liters smaller than the older 3.9.Yet Chevy has the 4.7 that makes a whopping 10 more horsepower than the 3.9 did.This is all that needs to be said in that respect.
Further,when I hear about a Honda guy that can whoop a stock R/T, does it really surprise you?
Sure,if I had a dual over-head cam engine that was force -inducted somehow and put it in a 1000 pound vehicle,sure I'm going to beat a truck.
Here's the hard part.Get that much out of a naturally aspirated pushrod engine that is not made in America.
Yeah right.The day I'm nervous about racing an import or a pussy ass Chevy with more displacement,I might as well sell the house and buy a Ferrari.I mean really,what's the comparison here? Put me up against a Chevy 3.9 or a Honda that weighs as much as my truck and you'll be eating those gay ass words you put out there so carelessly.
Power to weight ratio is a concept that is foreign to the foreigners.

I work in a shop that works on all makes and models of trucks and cars. I work in a town where ranchers own nothing but dodges. Hell my entire family owns close to 120 dodge or chrysler vehicles. they never break. the dodge to chevy ratio at work is 1 dodge to 25 chevys. This last year i have probaly put 100 fuel pumps, 50 a/c comps, 50 ignition modules, and 100+ heater hose quick disconnects on the intakes. The dodges just come in for regular stuff like tune ups. I service one dodge with a 3.9 that has 425,000 miles on original engine and trans. chevys seem to fall apart fast. my boss loves them but says he will never own another because of the amount we work on. he is looking for a dodge diesel now.

Let me just say that the ford vs. dodge vs. chevy debate is probably one of the dumbest in history. There is no imperical evidence that one is inherently better than the other. You can argue that fewer people have problems with dodge but then there are more fords sold. Ford claims, and correctly so, that there are more ford trucks with over 200k miles than any other make on the road but they forget to mention that they sell far more trucks than any other manufacture.
Bottom line, if you can't maintain a chevy or a ford well enough to reach 200k you probably won't do it with a dodge either.

I love it when people do this on forums. It gets everybody all rowled (sp) up. I like some Chevys, but it seems that the 99-06s cannot seem to spin the tires with the automatic. I know of 3 people with one and if they do break it over, it is a 4wheel drive with a locker. They spin when you pull out right and gas on it. Wow! I could do better burnouts in my moms '95 Mazda 626 than one of those.

Yohan your a stupid ass, Chevy has no 4.7 lets compare the right way Dodge had the 3.9 175hp while Chevy had the 4.3 200hp now Dodge has the 3.7 210hp while Chevy has a 4.2 290hp and back to the 4.7 that's a Dodge motor 235hp while Chevy has a 4.8 295hp. And Eddie you so full of sh1t what town do you live in my friend should move there with his 2001 Ram he can't seem to go a week without something breaking.
