Message: A whistling noise recently developed, like a low whistle. It gets louder as you accelerate. Also, by just revving the engine, the sound doesn't come up. Could it be an exhaust leak? But if that was the case, wouldn't it whistle just by revving in park/neutral? Help please!

Message: Check the simple stuff. I had a leak at the gasket between the air cleaner and the TB. It made a loud wistle. $0.79 for a new gasket.
Start the truck, pop the hood, then throttle it up and listen to where the sound is comming from.
