 Subject: 3.9L Tow Rating???

I have been looking everywhere but I can not find out how much the 3.9L can pull. I have only seen what the hitch can pull, not the engine itself. I am trying to figure out if I should by this boat or keep saving up for a 5.7L engine. Thanks in advance. o and the truck is a gen3

Your local Chrysler dealer can tell you. Also look in your owners manual, its in there too. It depends on your rear gear ratio, if its an automatic or manual, and if it is a 4 X 4.

the 3.9 max towing is 4500lbs.... but it can tow more then that.... ive exceeded that to 5500 lbs with mine....
