Can anyone help me out. My 93 Dakota wont start. It was running just fine, but today it turns over fine but will not start.I thought it was the fuel pump, and checked to see if I had pressure in the fuel rail. Fuel just dripped out. I poured some gas into the throttle body and tried to start it again, still wont start. Checked to see if I had spark,no spark. Also checked to see if I had pulse width at the injectors and none. The asd relay seems ok.I was told it might be the crank position sensor. Anyone else have any ideas? Thanks Don

Check to see if you have a check engine light when you turn the ignition to the run position. If you don't it's probably the #115 splice. It is located under the washer fluid container in the harness on the drivers side. Pull apart the wire harness and look for a 10 G red wire that splits into 2 or 3 red wires. This is the power wire for the computer and the fuel pump. This connection corrodes from water dripping down between the fender and hood.

Thanks for the help. It was the red wire under the fuse block corroded apart. Fixed the wire and it started right up. Now the ABS light is on as well as the parking brake light and my brakes dont feel right. All after it wouldnt start. Any more Ideas?

If you don't try to read to much into your problem, think when it started doing it. Directly after fixing the red wire. My guess is you have other bad wires under the battery area and during your repair, you moved some a bit causing yet another problem that was close to happening on its own.. Pretty common trouble spot. Anything rapped up, unrap it and check it all out. better job you do rerapping the longer till it happens again.

So many problems .... So little time

ABS light
e brake lever parcialy on
blown fuse brake light

The ABS is a seporate comp behind the right pass
side kick panel

You can reset by disconnecting batt wait a few
min and reconect.

If still on you must jump the 2 wire connector
for abs and the break and abs light will flash
codes just like engine comp will

Try resetting there are just to many steps in
the testing prcedure for me to list I don't write
books

Those are the first 2 steps to try and test the
only other way to read the codes is a dealer
drb scanner
