Message: hi,
i will be getting my muffler installed pretty soon, what i would like to know is if i should use the stock tailpipe or if i should use a turndown? i have a 2000 sport v6 auto. is there any disvantage or avantage to have a turndown or regular tailpipe? also would the interior noise be really annoying with a turn down?
thanks for the help!

Message: I ran a stock cat and a Flowmaster 40 with no tailpipe for a while. The noise wasn't unbearable in the cab, but it was definately louder than stock. Unless you like loud noises, I would do something to get the exhaust out from under the bed.
Currently I have no cat and the flowmaster and it's insanely loud. I have headaches when I get to work. But my new headers and cat should arrive at home today and will go in tonight, so tomorrow shouldn't be too bad.

Message: I have a 93 3.9V6 with a 40series delta flowmaster. I had a 3in echo tip on it but i got tired of having the echo sound. I put a dump off on it and it sounds twice as mean and the noise is the loudest at 2000rpms so when youron the highway its not that bad.
