Message: I had my clutch replaced awhile back and the guy doin the work for me had the flywheel turned. Just wondering if I should have bought a new one instead, the shop manual says not to have them machined they have a contour. What would I expect to see if the turning affected the clutch? slipping ect? thanks

Message: turning the flywheel doesnt mess with the clutch.... cause the flywheel face is machine across the whole deck so there is no gap being created between the flywheel and clutch.... there is a thinkness spec for a flywheel so they are able to machined.... if ya got flywheel that might be warpped alittle where the clutch sits and the clutch disc doesnt seat perfectly flat it can cause it to slip or you'll get a chatter and it will wear out a new clutch in short period of time.... everytime i do a clutch the flywheel ethier gets resurfaced or replaced if its below spec and never had one come back on me....
