On all 1990 Dakota V6 were the voltage regulators in with the computor? If not where is the regulator on a truck using germany
alternator?
Also were any of the regulators mounted in the alternator?

the regulator should be mounted on the firewall.... it has 3 bolts holding it there.... the regulators didnt become placed in the alternators on most dodges till later in the 1990's

gnrhaze,the reg is in the pcm and have been since 88 in the dak,
you can put a ext reg if you locate the wires to the int reg
advance auto parts have a reman pcm for about $160 exchanged if your sure you need

didnt know they were in the pcm.... but when you look up a 90 dakota they say the voltage regulator is firewall mounted.... and thats according to advanced auto parts website
