Wrong, my friend, it only shows I didn't know that model had injection.
Perhaps you would care to educate us on what a choke does?

#2 - my hands around your dumb neck
now you showed your an idiot and completely full of sh*t so take yourself and your pathetic bullsh*t and use it on the other boards!

Thank you for answering. Okay, you know what a choke is, but what about the resident amsoil hater?
Your comments are out of line. You have read enough of what I have added to this site to know my truck is newer than the truck of the original question of this line of conversation. I stopped being a mechanic in 1967, so I'm not as up to date as you or Larry from the mechanical side, and I simply lack the interest you possess.
Why don't you think a Dodge motor is incapable of going 500,000 miles? Why can't a fuel pump last 300,000 miles?
Why do you think it necessary to name-call?

Message: Have you checked the fuel pressure or leak down time of the fuel pressure? Do you have any problems starting the engine in the mornings? I'm not particulary familier with your year model, but for those who are does it have a return fuel system? I think they went returnless in 97 right... Anyway if it is a return is your regulator working? You can pull the vacuum line off while it is running and see if the fuel pressure goes up by watching the gauge... Speaking of which is the regulators vacuum line full of or have any gas residue in it? If it does then replace the regulator even if it's not the root cause, because it will soon be giving you problems...
Does it backfire all of the time and run just extremely poor all of the time or are there times where it will run good? Sounds almost as if your cam is out of time or one of your valves are not closing fully due to a stuck valve or broken valve spring... What kind of vacuum does your engine produce while idling? You can check this with a vacuum gauge...

Message: kyle,
While you are rooting around in there, how about a compression test to help confirm valves.
