hey guys... i just bought a turbo and intercooler set up off of ebay......sweet! cant wait to get out the angle grinder and welder!
looks pretty sweet huh?
just to let yall know, when it comes in i will be selling my nitrous kit with purge valve, maybe the headers, mopar cold air intake and .... well that might be it.

Something doesn't quite look right with that kit. What did the seller "claim" it came off of?
(BTW: Air to Air intercooler - where do you plan on putting it?) ;)

That intercooler reminds me of a newer Saab unit but the endtanks are different. Looks pretty efficient though, and should flow nicely without much stacking. You planning on frount mounting it somehow?
What are the specs on the snail? That compressor housing looks tiny, almost T3'ish. It almost looks like a hybrid.
Well, whatever it is, you've got boost!!! Congrats on the purchase, even if it takes some custom fabrication. Good luck to ya Intense.

bernd... it was a custom kit... didn't come off of anything. i will get you the specs asap. i have no condensor...... he he he. there is a lot of room up infront of the radiator without it. i like that it has some tubing but probably would use it. it's a big turbo...if anything too big. but i got it for $400 for everything. i really just wanted the turbo and the intercooler.

i email bernd with some measurements and a model number. it was for a guys V8 racecar project.
like i have told yall before... i am not looking at spending $3000 and getting the most HP that i can... i can't afford that and i just want something that puts out enough power so that i don't have to flip a switch to get it.

Psst...you still will need a timing control unit, fuel delivery additions, oiling system for the turbo, airhat, etc. etc. etc.....you're looking at another $500+ for most of that stuff.
Add in the time to build the custom manifold, piping, and time spent putting everything together and you'll know why the $3000+ isn't so expensive. ;)

Tom and I were looking into the P/N you gave us...uhhhh...give us a call. You may not want this one at all.
(My Hybrid - matched for what I want - uses an outlet less than 3"...a standard Detroit Diesel doesn't even use one that big!)

i know that bernd.... not trying to show you up or anything... if i can weld... i will weld. trust me... just imagine how much some southern californian show would of charged for the crap i did to the rear of my truck!
i am going to get a msd controller for the timing, i have 24# injectors, and have a lot of know how from my last turbo car. i was hoping you could help me with the hat.... but remember about the flanges... i could use some of those ;)
i would appreciate any help that you or tom would be willing to give... i understand that you can't tell me everything because it is a prototype that you'll are working on and you wouldn't want to give any secrets away.

I'm not sure that turbo is even going to spool up before you hit the rev limiter...
From the part info you gave me, that turbo came off of a detroit deisel engine... a very large one...

That turbo an CAC that you got there is worth about $3000-4000 i think it's for a Freightliner Classic an theres no way in hell any of that will fit on your truck, sorry dude who ever sold that ether didn't know what he had or is tring to take advantage of someone.but in turn you and probly sell that to a trucker an make soom money.

Going from the specs, it looks a bit small for Greg's application. However, it would work very well on a 2.0-2.6L engine.

I was almost burned by the same type of ebay deal. I have not been able to find any type of hardware to mount the 8v92 blower to anything besides the detroit diesel it originated from. I checked into parts, and explained to the guy that the listing was misleading, and he was very understanding. It was a relief to not have to worry about a place to go with a part that would not work.
