For an engine to use syn oil when first used on an engine with some miles on it isn't all that uncommon. Infact I just went through this on a mini van I have. At first it was using 1/2 quart in 250 miles. It did this for 1,000 miles and stoped . Has not used another drop sense. this engine is a v6, 1995 with only 26,000 at the oil change. It now shows 29,000 plus . 2,000 miles sense it used any at all
So many problems .... So little time
