Message: I have a 2006 Dakota that the transmission will work fine then when going into passing gear it will not let go. then will shift into 2nd gear and stay there. If you shut car off it will resume to be normal the all of a sudden it will happen again. It is an automatic.

Message: I have a 2000 Dakota, i just replaced the transmission because it was not changing gears correctly. It would jump out of gear then jump back in and try to kill the engine. Well the transmission that I put in is doing the same thing. Could this be a problem with the computer instead of the transmission.

Message: Our 1999 V-6 Dakota Overdrive seems to disengage
if you slightly release the accelerator at highway speeds and re-engage when you accelerate again.
What would be causing this?
Thanks, Dber

Message: Have 2005 Dakota that stalled and wouldnt shift
into drive or reverse. Let it sit for a minute and
it went into drive ok but wont do reverse. Check
engine light came on recently not sure if that is
part of problem. Any feedback welcome.
