I have a 93 dak with a 3.9. I was wondering if it is worth the money to reprogram the computer for some extra power. It is a reliable engine just gutless, do they even make programers for the 3.9? Thanks

I have a 96 dakota with a 3.9 and wont to know if i can do any thing to get any more power from it and would it be practical to swap it out for a 318 if not able to get the v6 beefed up.

link.... if you wanna do any mods to a 3.9.... talk to Larry (J and J) he's built some nice 3.9 that sound bad as hell from the post ive read on here that he has posted... he can basicly answer any mod question you need for the 3.9.... im in the middle of one myself 99 Dak. Ext Cab but mine is a daily driver so im going at as i can going off some of larrys post with build up ideas... Hughes Engine has plenty of 3.9 moddified parts to use, Harland has the 1.7 Rockers so there is stuff out there... just gotta get the right info from people on here that have done the research like im doing and that Larry has done which seems to be everything under the sun.... LOL

just ask the people on here and you'll get most if not all your questions answered... sometimes dropping in a 318 can fix all your horsepower gain questions... but with alittle time and money to buy the parts you can anything scream or anyone beg for their life when ya got them pinned it the passenger seat with anything ya got under that hood wether is a 4,6 or a 8...
