i'm looking into buying a lift kit for my dak and
i read (at 4wheelparts.com) that body blocks and
lift kits should not be used together. Why is
this?

There are a many Daks running around with a suspension/body lift combo and I havent heard of them having problems. I'm not sure, but I think the warning about combining them is posted because they were designed to work on a stock Dak. They won't make to big of a difference if you have a suspension lift except, you will experence more body role. I have a 3in body lift on my 98cc 4x4 and I am planning on using the 3in Rancho by the end of the summer. You can check out my truck at HTTP://MOPARTHRASH.TRIPOD.COM

They also do that for legal reasons Im sure. I mean I see trucks all the time with both lifts. I have both lifts and have had ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS. Go for both. You almost have to with our daks to run larger tires.

I've got a 3in body lift and 33's on my dakota. I've got
the V6 and the ax-15 manual and i haven't noticed
much powerloss at all. Just can't let it bog in the mud
like i used to but on the street it's fine. I've got a
question though on where to find a manual shifter
extension, summit used to sell one but now they don't
have it anymore, and nobody will bend my shifter for
me so i'd just like to purchase one if possible.

Kevin,
Nice looking truck! You ought to consider getting nerf bars put onto it. I think they're called nerf bars...the bars that are like running boards...?

I have a 98 Dakota ext. cab 4x4 and I wanted to lift it with a 3 inch body lift and then possibly put 32s or 33s and needed some advice on some products and some of the pros and cons.
Thank You
