Subject: '87 3.9 Carb Replacement IP: Logged
Message: The carb on my '87 Dakota is running extremely rich and needs ot be fixed. The problem I have is that I don't want to put their "computer controlled" carburetor back in (rebuild it) because I don't trust it. Are there any other carbs which will fit this one (or be a simple changeover)? I recently rebuilt the engine and would like a carb I can trust for the next 100k. Thank you in advance!

Message: the older 318 2bbl will bolt on,you,ll have to make a bracket for the accelerater cable to the carb, other wise then that it will work fine
