Subject: How much will it cost??? IP: Logged
Message: I am looking at buying a intake manifold for my 03 and matching the V8 TB bores to the intake bores. Will I notice a differance, where should I take it, and how much will it cost to get the holes enlarged? Thanks in advance.

Message: only a machine shop can answer that..... but are you sure you need that much air getting into your 3.9 cause to much air can kill your lowend torque and upper end power if you dont have the fuel to back it up but you dont wanna exceed and dump to much air and fuel into your 3.9 cause it might not get the power you want

Message: do it your self. get a tb gasket put it in place and match the bores to the gasket. you may want to gasket match the ports that meet the head while ur at it, and take a inch off the runners of the manifold.

Message: Unless you do more work to the motor you will
be very unhappy doing that
just get a 48mmF&B and gasket match the ports on
the intake that is a big bottle neck there
I went to 50mm on my stroker motor but thats a lot
more motor than a stock V6
a word to the wise don't do it
You can but use a stock V8 body don't mod it
bolt on as is than its 48mm without the step
that causes low end flow probs
it would be cheaper to just bolt on the 48mm
F&B you will be very happy with it
