I installed the 1.7 RR's along with the fastman 46 mm TB and there is a noticeable difference from 3000 rpm and up. The bottom end is about the same as the stock application with a slight bit better throttle response. If you had 3.9 or 4.10 gears, you will see a gain in the lower end. I am changing from 3.55 to 3.92 soon. I did not notice any difference in exhaust tone and I am running the Dynomax Super Turbo muffler, 17748 I believe was the part #. This certainly DID pick up the power and I would recommend both the Fastman TB and the HS 1.7 RR's although the rims would make the truck look nice. Its your call.

I would have to agree. Its a PIA waiting on back orders from summit. Mine will be shipped in 2 days. I ordered em on Apr 7th.

I ordered mine through John of Southeast about 7 April and got them on 15 May direct from Harland Sharp. Putting them in this weekend.

Completed the install of the Harland Sharps 1.7's, install was simple. Test run seem to show some increase at low end but the biggest improvement I found was once at highway speed if you punched it you had much better responce than before.

your not the the only...... they also changed mine to the 6-03-06 then it went to 6-10-06 and today i got a post card from them saying that once my backordered items come in they will go right out for delivery..... i email HS last week and still havent heard a reply.... what sucks is that when i ordered the parts from summit 2 days later for some reason i had a rocker arm on the right side split down the center and following day one on the left side did the same thing.... so i went to a junk yard and got a set of rockers outta 3.9 motor to passify for when the new ones get here whenever that happens....

i ordered mine on the 5th of may..... and still no word from HS about buying through them if i can get them quicker or not then from summit... so who knows..... but i believe sence they have back issues like this that this might be my last and only purchase from them....

For what it's worth: When I ordered mine through southeatrt John said he was instrumental in setting up the !.7 Rockers with Harland Sharp for the Dakota. He said that when he contacted them they had a small inventory and had to produce more to meet the demand. Basically, he said they weren't sitting on the shelf. So your order being slow is due to low inventory and not slow service from whom you ordered. Mine took a month.

Glad to hear you are gettin em' shipped. I'm rolling on a week after install and i couldn't be more happy. I've got more power through out the power band. i'm really impressed with my top end power now. It no longer feels like it is gonna bog down when i try and pass someone on the freeway. Now when i step on the gas it takes off! Hands down this is the best install to date.

Last week, SoutheastRT had them for $264 shipped; get two more to buy and he'll knock another $10 off. Summit was $278.69.
Hey, Scott - how's about putting up a post after you get yours on and let us know how they're doing for you?
