Message: U guys are too much;
We all have our preferences on what oil/gas/parts/etc we use on our trucks, and we will each individually use what makes us feel most comfortable. U guys dump on those Amsoil guys too much. I personally don't use amsoil, but if someone made a real good case with extensive proof on why I should, then I probably would. These guys are just demonstrating what they use to give us all an idea of what our options are and boards like this should work to our advantage o find the best products for us, individually. I personally run Mobil 1 SuperSyn (140,000 Miles - 2001 ext. cab 3.9 rwd) and will not change to ANYTHING unless someone can convince me otherwise. Until then, thank you for all of your posts. The got the correct fluid level on my dipstick at 4 quarts, with filter change, so that will be what I keep filling it at.
Thanx for the suggestions!!

Message: Stathib,
Actually, the sole reason Steve and I discuss Amsoil is to rile some people. We get together and plot these campaigns, then e-mail and go he,he,he,he to each other.
On a serious note. If you want information just Google Amsoil and click the corporite site. Look around. For example, under products click any oil. If you don't want to read everything go to the bottom. there is the technical information.
Or, on the home page scroll down to the "Comparing AMSOIL to the Competition."
Who knows, maybe you'll get some information of use.
Remember to order the free catalog.
Think about having Steve be your supplier.

Message: I bought my 93 DW150 brand new and when I seen that little half
quart oil filter hanging on my little 3.9L V6, my first thought was,
not even Amsoil is gonna make this gutless wonder last. First oil
change got a full quart Motorcraft FL-1A oil filter. I can tell you
after 29 years of changing my oil the correct capacity for my
application is exactly 4.7qts. Plenty of room on my vehicle and
hopefully yours too. More oil means more protection!
