Myself I went to google and typed in referbishe autoxray engine scanners and got right where I wanted to go. I really like that referbished electronic stuff. It gets totally checked out prio to being sold. Always works right. Mine is upper scale. Covers both systems and has 5 connecters to fit pretty much everything american and over the big blue. Cost was 145 bucks and it is computer upgradable. Just don't get better then that.Can't recall the exact site but you'll find it easy. Just go with model and price you want.Oh. Did I mention these things are terrific......

Their customer service sucks, and they will screw you at every chance.
Yes, I have had, and continue to have a bad experience with them.
Their prices are good, but not worth the trouble.

I found a model 1ATX35000R, refurbished. Will that one do want I want. Sorry for being so cautious, just dont want to get the wrong thing.

You get in a good site they explain each model capabilities very well . If your planing to buy something newer them 2006 one day get a computer progrmable one . If you plan to buy an older (pre 96 )Get one that handles all models. Who knows. You might find yourself working on a friends 92 or what ever some day

Will the autoxray scanner tell you where your injector sync. is set?
Does the key-on, key-off three times function work on 1998 Dakotas? My truck seems like it doesn't have it.

Relf: NO it will not read injector sync.
98 and 99's will not give a reading using the key on/keyoff method you have to have a scanner.
