Message: My 93 Dakota 3.9l suddenly started to overheat today. I did notice it before it got to the hot level and pulled over. Steam was coming from the hood. When I popped the hood, I noticed the lower radiator hose had a small hole in it, near where it connects to the water pump. Ant-freeze was shooting over the motor causing the steam. I am wondering if it is just a busted hose or did something cause it to bust? t-stat, water pump?

Message: Most likely just your hose. Age does this to them. If that one is/was bad, the rest are to provided there all the same age. This includes heater hoses. Myself , I would change them all. If no bucks do the one and the rest payday. Just consider this may cost you extra anti freeze. Good time to change that also. You already lost a bunch anyway.Don't forget the little short hose in the alternator side in front area. Hard to see at least it is on mine
So many problems .... So little time
