Any body out there have any experience with the Chrylser Automatics? I have a A500 tranny and am wanting to add some time to its normal lifespan. I'm considering putting in a TransGo Shift Kit. I have found a few different ones though: TFOD-Jr for $20, Reprogrammer for $115, and some others. The TFOD I think is a doable project for the average mechanic. The reprogrammer I think is out of my league. Any body out there have any luck modifying their tranny? Please let me know if there is any additional things I can do to keep it going. THXS.

can't find any dirt on the TG shift kit either. checked some owner's mods out and there are many with it, any feed back?
some other forums have some posts on the kit, I'd search the net.

What year is your truck

TCI 220500 is a better way to go 89 to 98 in 99
they made some changes and you than will need to
use the transgo kit

personaly I like the TCI they do a much better job
with the valve body

Either kit is fairly easy to install

let me know and I will tell you what you need
to do

Its kinda a oldee: 1989 V6 Sport 4WD.

Just found the instruction page for TCI. It mentions the A500 is a 42RH Or 42RE. How do you tell the difference?

On a side note Larry, is there any other parts to consider not included in the kit? I have seen other parts around, just curious if you've added anything else?
