Subject: HOW do you remove the oil pan IP: Logged
Message: My mechanic and I doubled the time alloted to replace the oil pump and can't even get the pan out.
Removed motor mount bolts, mashed the transmission into the floor, disconnected the steering rack, begged, pleaded and still not enough room.
Suggestions please?

Message: Thanks.
Job done. New pump installed. Never did get the pan off.
Pressure went from 2-3lb idling to 10lb. 10lb running to around 30lb.
The electric gauge, with a new sender, lies and says I get 40 all the time. But I know the truth.
