i got this offer for a TB from a 96 5.9L
Ram for $50 Bucks. Also a offer for a
home ported 5.2L TB. Just wondering
if the 96 will fit in my 98 3.9

Yes it will.
You will have to do something with your throttle cable for your year I think.
I have heard that Speedtweaks has the cable.

Sic, I think that ported V8 will be too big for your truck.
If you need a V8 cable, I have an extra.

engine mounts, and the fuel delivery system will need a total overhaul, all else bolts up, but the tranny will die a quick death as it is designed for less hp and torque.
your 96 is a second gen not a first, first is pre magnum.
